A proper little capital worth every minute
Luxembourg City is so compact but there's loads to see. The Chemin de la Corniche views are just stunning - you can see the whole old quarter from up there. Great food spots nearby too. Really enjoyed every bit of it.
Old Town is seriously impressive
The Grund neighbourhood is beautiful - all those old stone buildings along the river, really lovely to walk through. Food scene is better than I expected for such a small city. Prices are high but the quality matches. Definitely a solid city break destination.
Great city for a winter weekend
Came in January and the city felt really alive even in the cold. The Bock Casemates are fascinating - walking through those old tunnels under the city is something else. Very easy to get around on foot. Food was great, especially the Judd mat Gaardebounen. Would recommend to anyone.
Loved the mix of history and modern city life
Spent a few days here and the Place d'Armes area was a favourite spot - good cafes, people watching, easy to relax. The city feels safe and clean. Everything is walkable and the locals are friendly and mostly speak English. Really pleasant stay overall.
Tiny country, big impression
Didn't know much about Luxembourg before going but came back really impressed. The Adolphe Bridge is gorgeous especially in the evening light. The city is small but feels very polished. Mussel season in autumn means the restaurants are full of great seafood dishes. Really nice trip.
Christmas market here is genuinely lovely
The market around Place de la Constitution is cozy and not too overcrowded. Hot glühwein, local pastries, great lights - it all comes together really nicely. The city looks amazing all lit up in December. Much better than the big chaotic markets you find in larger cities.
